Styling Harvard Parties: St. Patrick’s Day

It’s almost my favorite day of the year! St. Patrick’s Day has been my favorite since I was a teenager. I love the spirit and festiveness of the day. Plus, being Irish, it’s in my blood. Erin go bragh! Today, I’d thought I’d share my simple and inexpensive St. Patrick’s Day tablescape.

I used door hangers from Dollar Tree as placemats and added simple clear glass plates, light green linen napkins tied with green twine, and some rose gold flatware.  I made some Rae Dunn inspired prints recently and had Jamie build some wooden frames for them. Here’s our St. Patrick’s Day one. These little Irish figurines were a Christmas Tree Shop find for a few bucks. I used some Dollar Tree clay pots that I white washed and added some moss and gold coins, also from Dollar Tree, to the scale.

I’ve had these Target Dollar Spot pillows for a couple of years and just love them! Of course, in my opinion, no party is complete without champagne but for St. Patrick’s Day, green champagne is a must!  This was a fun, easy and free tablescape to create which is my favorite kind! I had everything I needed on hand — the life of a party planner/hoarder!

Wishing you a very Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Sláinte!

  1. Hi Katie!
How are you? I love your tablescapes!! You definitely have a knack for taking the dollar tree goods and upgrading them beyond recognition!!

Keep it up. I get many ideas from your blog?

    1. Hi Mary!

Thank you so much! It’s my favorite place to shop for party and everyday things. I’m writing another blog post now about how I find things there and give them a little umph to make them seem higher end. Glad you enjoy reading and hope you all are doing well! xoxo
