I love any chance to throw a shindig but this Sunday will be extra exciting. It’s the first holiday we’re hosting in our new home so I wanted to kick things up a notch. Instead of the normal pastels, I decided I wanted the Easter table decor to be super glam. Before last week’s chaos, I decided to get a head start on things and get the table decorated. If you follow me on Instagram, you saw a sneak peek of a little Easter project I was working on. Now it’s time for the big reveal! I picked up these little trinket boxes at Dollar Tree. They are so cute but needed a little pizzazz. You know I love any opportunity to spray paint something gold. I gave them a few light coats of gold metallic spray paint. These were a little tricky because of all the nooks and crevices. While they were drying, I got to work setting the table. Since I was going for a glam look, I wanted to use a lot of metallics. I broke out the silver chargers from our wedding along with my Gramma’s china. I love how the blue flowers compliment the dining room color scheme and the hint of gold around the rim of the plate. Once they were dry, I placed each of them on a plate, filled them with a little shredded kraft paper and added a few chocolates. How glamorous do they look? I love that they add to the table decor but also double as a chic favor. For the centerpiece, I added two extra trinket boxes and some plastic eggs that I spray painted white and then speckled with gold spray paint. The speckling was a happy accident. I was running out of spray paint so this is what the end of a spray paint can looks like. I just love it! Be sure to check out my Easter Pinterest board for some great DIY ideas!
