What.a.week. I had every intention of posting an update on our weekend on Tuesday but then plans drastically changed. Without going into too much detail, my sister suffered a rapidly progressing medical crisis and ended up in the ICU. It was a very scary 24 hours but she had a great team of doctors and nurses who helped save her life. I’m happy to say she is doing MUCH better and is on the road to recovery. For our family and friends who know the whole story, we want to thank you all for your kind words, thoughts, prayers and well wishes. We were so touched at how many people offered to do so much for us, especially the many people who volunteered to watch Ben and provide him with a distraction. We are most certainly reflecting on the past few days and counting our blessings.
I’ll be laying low for a few days to spend some quality time with my sister. Expect an update on last weekend’s project when I get back. In the meantime, hug your loved ones a little tighter today; if you love someone, tell them every chance you get; lastly, give thanks for all your blessings and every day you’re alive. Life is a precious gift. Cherish it.
