Styling Harvard: Christmas Home Tour Part 2

Yesterday’s post was a bit long so I thought I’d break up the Christmas Home Tour into 3 parts. Part two consists of the dining room and a peek of the kitchen. Enjoy!

I love this little silver tree. My mom gave it to me the first Christmas Jamie and I were living together. Our dining room was the same color it is now and it was such a nice color combo. It’s a custom color we had done based off a table runner I’d bought. I’d found these silver and turquoise ornaments, along with the tree skirt, at Target that year. I use that as a base to create a winter wonderland themed room. I also got the wrapping paper at Target a few years ago. It matches the chair we have in the dining room perfectly and it has such a nice texture to it.

Styling Harvard Christmas Home TourI usually use these ornaments as part of my centerpiece every year. Last year, my Nana gave me the milk glass plate stand as part of a housewarming gift since I’d been eyeing it at her house, haha! I added the candle to it this year and used the wreath I got on clearance (for probably like a dollar at Target last year) to give it a some shine.
Styling Harvard Christmas Home TourI hung the second wreath (which I paid full price for — maybe $5?) over the china cabinet this year.I had it in between the windows but had another plan for them and thought the cabinet needed something extra.
Styling Harvard Christmas Home TourMy friend, Kelly, gave me these cool paper star lanterns for my birthday this year. I love how they look in this room with the light peeking through them.

Stlying Harvard Hot Chocolate StationAs for the kitchen, we don’t have a ton of counter space so I put a tiny little tree with a set of mini lights up. I’ve used it in my kitchens past for years and this year, before I could take a picture, the lights blew. And then I dismantled it to fix it. And then that didn’t work. So now my poor little tree is sitting there with its mini forks and knives next to it on the counter. I can’t find a set of 25 regular  lights anywhere! If anyone knows where I can find them, please let me know. So far I’ve struck out at Target, Home Depot and Dollar Tree.

I do have one other little tree in my kitchen. I went with the whole Pinterest idea and strapped a tree onto my vintage looking UK car. I need to wrap some bakers twine around it to complete the look but for now, I still think it’s pretty darn cute!
