Okay, so we have reached the end of the Christmas Home Tour. Phew, that was a lot of work! Today I’m sharing my travel themed tree along with our outdoor decor. Happy reading!
During my trip to England and Paris, I bought several ornaments along our travels. I love these ornaments but didn’t want them on my main tree because they wouldn’t go with the theme. What’s a girl to do? Add yet another tree to the house! Where? Well in the front entry, of course! My grandparent’s gave me this tabletop tree last year when we moved in because we didn’t have time for a real tree and they had since gotten a bigger tree.
After we got back from our trip, I bought my aunt a set of three silver ornaments from Kohls – a plane, a camera and the Eiffel Tower. I was inspired by that to decorate this tree. I bought a 4 pack of party favor planes from Dollar Tree, threw out the fighter jets, and sprayed the regular planes silver. When they were dry, I rested them on the branches.
I bought this Eiffel Tower years ago when I still lived at home. It’s been a staple in my decor ever since. It was residing in the dining room until I had to make room for the silver tree but I had the perfect place for it! Atop my little tree!
My dad bought my aunt and I each the Downtown ornament to represent our trip to Highclere Castle.
I added in some mini flags and some sand collected from our travels and that was that. This tree might not have many ornaments or decorations but it’s full of so many memories. I can’t wait t add more as we continue on our adventures!
I also added the British phone booth I’d bought when Jame and I moved in together along with my London snow globe from HomeGoods and the Niagara Falls snow globe my sister brought me back.
Now for the outside!
I made these topiaries out of tomato cages and 15′ garland from Dollar Tree. We had the cages so it cost about $14 with the garland (7 sets each).
This picture is terrible but you get the idea.
We also added some lighted garland and a wreath to the transom with a spotlight on it after this picture was taken.
So if you’ve been keeping track, that’s a grand total of 6 trees (not including the kitchen one I didn’t post, 2 other small ones and the outdoor decor)! Thanks for taking so much time to read this posts. I know there was a lot to take in!
