Hello, friends and Happy Easter! I’ve been gearing up for Easter this week and can’t believe how quickly these past few weeks have gone by! I feel like I just put up all of the Easter decorations! Some of that might have to do with the fact that I switched up the mantle a few times. I finally settled on how I want it (I think) and am ready to share it with you! I gave up frivolous spending for Lent. I did this a couple of years ago and was impressed with not only how much money I had left at the end of it, but how many things I had to stop and take out of my carriage. I’m pretty sure I’m going to be getting a call from Target any day now asking if I’m okay due to lack of activity on my Target card. That being said, it was a little challenging this year to not buy any new decorations for Easter but I love a challenge!
I used some of my go-to basics on the mantle again — vintage books and spindles. I mixed in some of my Target Easter clearance from last year, like the white bunny cookie jar and the metallic eggs. I had gotten the egg holders at Marshalls last month and while it was during my spending freeze, I really did need them for a brunch I was hosting so I figured it didn’t count as frivolous. I brought out some crosses and my trusty Velveteen Rabbit again this year. You may have seen on Instagram, my dad bought this for me when I was 6 and I’ve always loved it. Lastly, I added some magnolia flowers I had laying around to fill in the empty space. The dining room table was set for Easter even though we won’t be using it this year, haha! I did also buy some gold chargers at Dollar Tree because I’ve really been wanting/needing them and they always sell out quickly. Even our vintage scale got a little decoration! Our guest room is always bright and Springy so all I put in here was this little cottontail bunny frame I made a few years ago. Our bedroom linens were swapped for the mint which is my favorite set we have. I added some potted tulips and called it a day in there. My parents are hosting Easter lunch this year. I made a fun little word search to bring and thought I’d share it with you! Enjoy and have a very Happy Easter!
