If you’ve been around here long enough, you know I love doing the most when it comes to hosting a party. I LOVE A THEME! Back in April, we hosted a first birthday for our goldendoodle, Georgie. (See big brother Alfie’s Sandlot themed first birthday here.) Collaborating with my soul sister, Shannen, is always a joy. She’s always on board with my ideas. After having a blast with Georgie’s birthday, we decided to host a summer soiree with a theme I’ve loved for a long time – Troop Beverly Hills/Beverly Hills Hotel. Thus, our Bungalow Babes girls’ night in was born.
Planning Our Beverly Hills Hotel Themed Party
Finding inspiration for a Beverly Hills Hotel themed party on Pinterest was a bit challenging. Most of our ideas came from the Gray Malin cabana at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The banana leaf print and pink cabana stripes are pure perfection. We transformed my back deck into the coziest cabana for our girls’ night in.
Decorations and Setup
Since there wasn’t much inspiration online for this theme, it took us some time to figure out the details. Shannen and I thrive under pressure, so once we made a few decisions, the ideas started flowing.
The “Check-In” Area
My favorite spot was the “check-in” area. I used peel-and-stick wallpaper to cover the siding of my house and shopped around my home for décor. Shannen’s wood and acrylic signs brought everything together beautifully.
The Drink Cart
One of my most treasured pieces is the drink cart. This was a major Facebook Marketplace score for $30. After a few cans of green spray paint and some new wheels, it had a brand-new vibe. The bar cart was completed with Evian bottles (a subtle nod to Troop Beverly Hills) and engraved coconuts. We became obsessed with engraved coconuts after using them for Georgie’s birthday, and they were one of the main reasons we decided on this party theme.
Unique Party Favors
A while back, I picked up mini suitcases and visors from Target to use as party favors. Each suitcase was filled with Evian, a mini split of rosé prosecco, and a pack of hair ties with custom tags. The visors were branded with the Bungalow Babes logo.
Highlight of the Night
The real show stopper was the boxwood wall adorned with Beverly Hills Hotel wooden letters crafted by Shannen. We were obsessed with every little detail of this night.
Fun and Memories
Shannen, my sister, and I made some light bites, sat around chatting, and took pictures with a Polaroid camera. Old-school style photos are always the most fun!
This is a night that we’ll be talking about for a long time. What theme should we do next? Be sure to follow me on Instagram and TikTok to see all the behind the scenes fun and more events to come!
