Styling Harvard Parties: Alfie’s 1st Birthday

Alfie is one year old today! He’s been with us for the last 10 months and it’s pretty safe to say, I’ve become the most extra dog mom ever. Since his birthday is in November, I wanted to have his birthday party when the weather was still warm and he could play with his buddies outside.

Never one to pass on a fun theme, I quickly narrowed it down to Rookie of the Year and threw him a Sandlot party.

I kept things simple and baseball related with the food and served up hot dogs for the humans and doggies alike. We also had glass bottles of Coca-Cola and root beer, Baby Ruth candy bars, s’mores Cracker Jacks and popcorn.

I love custom cookies so I had these made and couldn’t have been more in love with them. She really nailed the theme!

We frequently say “You’re killin’ me, Smalls!” to Alfie so I made him a baseball tee with his nickname on the front and his name on the back. He’s almost always a good sport when I dress him up.

I had to join in on the theme and dressed up like Wendy Peffercorn.!

I can’t believe my handsome guy is a year old! He brings us so much joy every single day. Sometimes we think he’s part real boy with his mannerisms, facial expressions and the way he “talks” to us all the time. We love you so much, Alfie!
