It’s a miracle, I’ve blogged again! Today I’m sharing part 2 of our Valentine’s Day décor with our dining room. I still haven’t done the full post on our makeover in here but it’s on my to-do list. Normally this room is much more toned down since it’s a farmhouse style but I figured it was Valentine’s Day so I should just go big. I’m also hosting a Galentine’s Day brunch which is another excuse for a little over the top decorating. I obviously love to shop but one of my most favorite things is shopping the after season clearance. Boy did I do that last year after V-day! Target and their amazing clearance deals got me again. I bought 3 of these “BE MINE” balloon banners because I thought they’d be a one and done type of thing. Much to my surprise, I am pretty sure I can deflate them (I blew them up in 2 seconds with a handy straw that came with it) and reuse again next year. Of course when you pay something like 70 cents for them, it doesn’t hurt to have back ups. I blew them up over 2 weeks ago and they haven’t lost an ounce of air!

I have since deconstructed the table, but I did a little trial tablescape for our Galentine’s Day brunch. I wanted to keep things simple and I hate having tons of dishes to wash after a party. Cute paper plates it is! I paired them with silver chargers for a glammed up look. Last year I bought goodie bags at Target for $1 and used them to place the napkin and utensils in so I opted to do it again this year. I also found heart shaped swirly straws at Dollar Tree so I added those to the bags as well. When you were a kid, do you remember thinking that red and pink clashed? I know I did. It’s funny how your opinions change over time. I love the mix of the colors now. Although, I only do this color combo for this holiday so perhaps that’s why I find it so acceptable.

I added a mini piñata to the coffee bar, also found on clearance last year, for a little pop of pink.
