Styling Harvard Parties: New Year’s Eve

Happy almost 2019! As another year draws to a close, I, like many others, am taking this time to reflect on these past 12 months. 2018 was good to me and I hope it was to you as well. We’re heading to a friend’s house this New Year’s Eve but I wanted to share some easy party ideas I’ve done in the past. Last year, I shared our plans for a cozy New Year’s Eve in, along with some of our traditions. This year, we’re switching things up a bit but we’re still kicking the new year off right! By now, you all know about my ever so slight (read: overly) Christmas tree obsession. I love our silver New Year’s Eve themed tree. The midnight blue ornaments against the silver of the tree paired with Auld Lang Syne sheet music, clock faces striking midnight and NYE mirrored balls make for a perfectly festive centerpiece.

There’s nothing like a good favor or swag bag and on New Year’s Eve. These cute little Kiss Me Kits I made up have all the perfect ingredients for making your night a memorable one. A pack of gum, sparklers, a split of some cheeky champagne and a little lip balm in a kraft bag makes for a pretty little package.

A new tradition this year will be a traditional Sunday roast. With all the excitement and gorging from the holidays, we’re going to wait a week or so to host it. I love being able to bring family together to just hang out, talk and laugh. Wishing each and every one of you a very happy and healthy 2019! Cheers!

xo,
